Created in 2019, the Radiocommunications Lab (LRC) is a research group of the Universidad Privada Boliviana. Its activities are developed in Cochabamba (Bolivia).
Its research areas of interest are:
- Radiopropagation and radiometeorology: We study the influence of atmospheric components on the propagation of radiowaves in satellite and terrestrial radio links and estimation models to account for these impairments. With this purpose, we analyze meteorological and rainfall data from different sources.
- Wireless communications systems: We are interested on the analysis, deployment and use of wireless communication systems as a support to the development of Bolivia, from satellite to terrestrial systems.
The activities of the LRC are closely related to the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Department. Students take part of research projects under the supervision of the academic staff and can also propose their own research initiatives. The LRC is open to collaborations with universities, industry, and government institutions.
