As part of the «Satellite Communications» course, on February 28th, students and the instructor, Dr. Gustavo Siles, visited the Amachuma Ground Station, owned and operated by the Bolivian Space Agency (ABE), and located in the city of La Paz. From this site, TKSAT-1 is controlled and managed 24/7.
The journey was completed with a visit to the Institute of Geographical Research (IIGEO) from UMSA, where the students could learn about Earth Observation applications and remote sensing.
